Industrial & Rescue Equipment was founded in 1967 in the Netherlands.
Initially Holmatro only bought and sold industrial hydraulic equipment for the
shipbuilding industry. In the early 70's Holmatro started manufacturing in is
own right and rescue equipment soon became the second major market Holmatro was
active in. By now the rescue division accounts for a substantial part of the
company's sales with a product range that covers a wide-variety of rescue
tools. Without intending to be complete, this range includes hydraulic cutters,
spreaders, ram jacks, wedge jacks, combitools, hydraulic pumps, pneumatic
lifting bags, leak and tank sealing equipment glass cutters, airbag safety
covers, jacks, hydraulic door openers, a shoring system, support blocks, and
numerous accessories for all of these look.
